Social Proficiency
Students finishing this level will be able to:

  • Takes listener and cultural context into account
  • Understand radio and television
  • Read with a large degree of independence
  • Read texts in a wide range of professional topics (may need dictionary)

Level 1

Beginner Level
Students finishing this level will be able to:
​
  • Write simple, isolated phrases
  • Express immediacy information, such as the "here" and "now"
  • Understand simple, isolated statements
  • Understand short and slow speech with pauses and repetition
  • Understands very short, simple texts, one phrase at a time

 

Level 2

Intermediate Level
Students finishing this level will be able to:
​
  • Write about contexts in familiar situations
  • Deliver basic rehearsed, short presentations on familiar topics
  • Understand short directions, instructions, descriptions
  • Infer at the vocabulary level
  • Find specific information in simple, everyday material

Level 4

Academic Proficiency
Students finishing this level will be able to:
​
  • Take audience into account
  • Write well-structured, complex text
  • Uses precise and accurate grammar
  • Listen between the lines
  • Identify or infers opinion, intention, feelings of writer
